International Conference on Brackishwater Aquaculture (BRAQCON 2019) 

BRAQCON 2019 is expected to “THINK GLOBALLY” for development of aquaculture with strong R&D inputs, and “ACT LOCALLY” for implementing responsible fisheries and aquaculture.

Objective

“BRAQCON 2019” envisages providing a unique platform for an august gathering of people involved in innovative activities in brackishwater aquaculture and fisheries, nationally and internationally. Sharing of experience and research advancements in the frontier areas would facilitate maximum utilization, cultivation, conservation, and development of aquatic resources. The conference would elicit interest among young researchers and scientists to undertake studies and research to further open up new blue growth avenues for a better world. “BRAQCON 2019” is also an attempt to foster cooperation between concerned governmental, non-governmental institutions, the private sector and farmers for the advancement of sustainable aquaculture and fisheries in brackishwater ecosystems.  Brackishwater and estuarine biodiversity and conservation Diversity and distribution of finfish and shellfish, migrations and effects of barriers, ecosystem services, alien species in brackish waters, fishery and exploitation issues, conservation and management.
