Director of Aquaculture Laboratory Systems

1. Essential
• Tertiary qualifications in discipline directly related to aquaculture pathology, disease diagnostics and therapeutic evaluation
• Experience in diagnostic methods including histopathology, wet mount analysis, PCR (conventional and real-time) and microbiology
• Demonstrated experience in operational management of laboratory systems in large scale commercial aquaculture operations
• Demonstrated capacity to work with global leading laboratories or aquaculture pathology and animal health research and development institutions
• Demonstrated experience in understanding and navigating national and regional biosecurity, animal health and welfare policies
• Demonstrated written and oral communications and presentation skills in Vietnamese and English
• Demonstrated skills in project and team management

2. Desirable
• Tertiary qualifications in discipline directly related to aquaculture pathology, disease diagnostics and therapeutic evaluation
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar management position
• Willingness to travel overseas and spend time working with collaborating laboratory and research partners at their institutions
• Experience in staff training and next generation succession planning
