Phân tích sự đánh đổi các dịch vụ hệ sinh thái rừng ngập mặn dựa trên các kịch bản phát triển nuôi tôm tại Bến Tre

Every production including shrimp farming industry is always targetting sustainability in their business. Here, sustainabitity should balance three specific goals, i.e. economic profit, social equity, and  environmental  integrity.  Recently,  intensive  shrimp  farming in  Ben  Tre,  which relies heavily on mangrove ecosystem services, has brought considerable benefits to different groups of local people, especially  improves incomes  for related sectors. However, whether this industry achieves its goals in social equity and environmental integrity or not. This paper, based on data obtained from interviews and consultations using participatory rural appraisal method  (PRA)  with  different  local  stakeholders,  is  going  to  analyse  trade-off  in  terms  of mangrove  ecosystem  services  while  developping  various  scenarios  for  intensive  shrimp industry  in Ben  Tre. This  realistic  analysis  would help  the  local  authority  to  make  a  more appropriate decision in managing the shrimp industry for its sustainable goal.
